Info Challenges 2008 Conference and Exposition

The Air Force Research Laboratory Information Directorate and the Information Institute (II) are sponsoring an Info Challenges 2008 Conference and Exposition with support from AFCEA, Erie Canal Chapter and the Griffiss Institute. The conference will explore challenges and research opportunities in information systems and technology for Air Force and DoD applications. The Conference is being held at Mohawk Valley Community College (MVCC) in Utica, NY on 3 and 4 Jun 2008.The first day is a plenary session and provides attendees the opportunity to hear several addresses by senior Air Force leaders and Information Directorate senior staff on future challenges and research opportunities in information technology. On the second day, attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in parallel technical sessions in mini-workshop format in areas such as airborne networking, information exploitation and fusion, command and control, information management and cyber operations.

The workshop session will enable technical dialog between contractor representatives, government representatives and academics from II member and other institutions and the staff of Air Force Research Laboratory with the goal of identifying promising collaborations and future directions in information technology.  A special workshop on Technology Transfer and Business Opportunities will also be held.

In conjunction with the conference there will be an Exposition on Emerging Technologies in Information Science will be held with support from the Griffiss Institute. Demonstrations and posters are invited on recent developments ready for tech transfer or transition.

Attendees must be US Citizens or Permanent Resident Aliens. Proof of status is required for registration.
