"F.O.C.U.S. on Building a Sustainable Community: Cianbro Constructs Green Destiny.
Guest speaker, Kim Sieber, Project Controls Manager for Cianbro at Destiny, will discuss how “A Sustainable Community requires linking together economic vitality, social equity, and environmental stewardship.”
Sieber previously worked on a variety of projects including bridge rehabilitations, utility plant upgrades, paper mill maintenance, and dams. Notable projects are Tappan Zee Bridge, International Paper Mill, Yankee Rowe Nuclear Power Decommissioning, and Rt. 31 Bridge Replacement in Baldwinsville. She specializes in cost engineering, contract and document management, and scheduling. While attending University of Buffalo, Kim worked as a laborer on highway and heavy commercial construction projects.
Cianbro Corporation is one of the East Coast’s largest construction services companies. Cianbro is dedicated to acquiring green practices in construction and choosing clients who are dedicated to green processes as well. They have been using Biofuels for several years and started towards becoming paperless. They employ aggressive recycling practices at jobsites and offices.
