Bank and Venture Funding is available in 2008

Industry representatives from Advantage Capital, HSBC, Rand Capital and the Canadian Consulate General Buffalo will provide updates on the status & terms for 2008 funding, including currency valuation impacts.  Attendees will have an opportunity to further discuss funding availability with other capital providers and deal professionals during the round table discussions.

Funding providers attending include Upstate and NYC venture and private equity fund representatives; legal and accounting firms; and others interested in venture and private equity transactions.

Entrepreneur's Minute:
Entrepreneurs looking for funding will have an opportunity to make a one-minute presentation during the "Entrepreneur's Minute". Companies interested in an opportunity to present at the "Entrepreneur's Minute" should sign up on line when registering to attend the event.  There is no additional cost to present if you are selected.

Rochester Regional Business Plan Contest

$100.00 registration including three workshops

The 2008 Rochester Regional Business Plan Contest is designed to encourage entrepreneurship and advance new, high-growth ventures in the Greater Rochester New York Region.  Each of four contest finalists will receive a customized package of professional services and incubation services to accelerate their growth.  The contest winner will receive a $25,000 cash prize.

First and second place winners from the Rochester Regional Business Plan Contest will automatically advance to compete in the 2008 Golden Horseshoe Business Plan Competition.  This international event will be held in Rochester, NY on May 13, 2008.  Participants from several Upstate New York and Southern Ontario, Canada communities will complete for a Grand Prize of $100,000 cash.

The Rochester Regional Business Plan Contest features a series of workshops beginning on April 2 to help prospective entrepreneurs create the best possible plan.
