TPM (Total Productive Maintenance)

Program Overview:

TPM is a comprehensive maintenance system that converts the maintenance function from repair to reliability. Learn about:
  • Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and how it relates to capacity
  • The ten-fold effect of 5S techniques when applied to your equipment
  • The six major equipment-related losses
  • How to find and eliminate the 4 causes of 75% of equipment breakdowns

Participants will learn how to apply the techniques. By the end of the day, you’ll clearly see how these techniques can achieve dramatic improvements in uptime and increased equipment effectiveness.

Kaizen Basics

$250 ($125 MACNY member)

Kaizen Basics participants will gain an understanding of the value stream, how to seek out the eight wastes and how to utilize ‘lean’ tools to conduct a successful Kaizen Event. They will learn how to identify a good project and use the Shingijutsu Method to conduct a Kaizen event, including what should be in place prior to launching the event.

On-site option:
The Kaizen Implementation class can be conducted at your facility and includes Kaizen Basics. Team members will complete a Kaizen Event at their site and will gain hands-on Kaizen implementation experience. Mastery of the techniques taught in class is demonstrated via successful completion of the event with the organization receiving concrete improvement as a result.
