This 2008 program reflects an increasing interest for green materials and combines the two symposia held in 2007 by the CCMR: POP and Green Materials.
Polymer Outreach - Green Materials Program

This year's symposium "Polymer materials for a sustainable future" hosted by Professors Margaret Frey, Fiber Science and Apparel Design, and Uli Wiesner, Materials Science and Engineering, will include presentations covering the latest advances in polymer research at Cornell, industry presentations and the ever-popular poster session highlighting our entire research portfolio and graduate students and postdocs.

Learn about cutting-edge research at Cornell and network with colleagues in academia and industry at our beautiful campus in Ithaca, New York. We look forward to you joining us.

This is the kick off of a 5-part series on “Energy Alternatives Presenting the Greatest Opportunity for Sustainability.”  Key experts in the field of wind, solar, biomass, river turbines, and hydrogen will talk about the state of each technology and their newest advancements; the marketability of the respective renewable energy; and, opportunities and new technologies in the industry for entrepreneurs and businesses to take advantage.  This session will be a  presentation centered on wind energy and the innovative developments and opportunities in the wind as an energy alternative.
