Kaizen Basics participants will gain an understanding of the value stream, how to seek out the eight wastes and how to utilize ‘lean’ tools to conduct a successful Kaizen Event. They will learn how to identify a good project and use the Shingijutsu Method to conduct a Kaizen event, including what should be in place prior to launching the event.

This year's symposium "Polymer materials for a sustainable future" hosted by Professors Margaret Frey, Fiber Science and Apparel Design, and Uli Wiesner, Materials Science and Engineering, will include presentations covering the latest advances in polymer research at Cornell, industry presentations and the ever-popular poster session highlighting our entire research portfolio and graduate students and postdocs.
